Local Swap Shop / Service / Product share
FROM: Andy Prosser
What NEED does this meet?
Community need for services / products
What is the APPROACH?
People sign up on line to become part of a co-operative where they share everyday objects that other people may need / can't afford - e.g. lawn mowers, hedgecutters, car ramps, powertools etc... for a loan period of say a day or a week. In order to sign up they must have something they are willing to share.
What are the BENEFITS to people?
Build community spirit of sharing. Get people talking to each other! Practical help on one-off projects where people don't want to spend money buying/hiring something that is going to sit in the garage for the rest of it's life!
What is the COMPETITION?
None in my area.
What BUDGET & LOGISTICS are required?
Initial Web site development / hosting / domain /. £2000 ? Leafletting / advertising costs. £depends on how many communities the site is aimed at.

It´s really a great joy being here. Your site is a varied mixture of the latest news, specified information and
activ power.

Does anybody know why? I can't believe that this is really true!
But often the things are not as they seem to be in this coloured world...

apparently in your financial wisdom, since you can't afford to run this site free anymore(probably due to it's inability to attract as many customers as other websites. banning people due to their non contribution is not the answer. since i have been banned from use(i can only assume the above is the reason why), then i will make sure everyone knows of OTHER BETTER sites, and landmark this day as the beginning of the end for localswapshop. have a pleasant day and check the demographics for tricitiesnow.com !
